Hey all
I found a ... er ... barbarian way to solve the joystick problem.
Have a look :p

Ok, it's a radical way to fix it, but it works perfectly ! I don't have any joystick problem anymore ! And it give the gp32_console a cool trash look :p

To do it, I heated a knife with my cooker and then, it cutted trough the plastic like trough butter B) . I even didnt have to dismount my gp32 .

So, if you want to solve your joystick problem, give it a try, it's not hard...

PS : I'm am not in charge of any damage caused to your gp32 because of a awkward knife hit :p

   1.7 years and counting with my GP32, never had a joystick problem, but what in the hell problem were you having that would cause you to do this to your GP32!!???

KickinWing : Wow you are lucky if you really dont have a problem ! In fact, most of the GP32's users (I think the problem is still here with FLU and BLU) have a very bad joystick : it is very hard to go up and upper-left, and a little hard to go left, which make games like shoot'em'up or action games totally unplayable :/ And the problem become worse with time...

aapje89 : I'll update more pictures later, but I don't have a camera, I use my phone so the quality is poor :p

i used to have a problem with diagonals, too. but i fixed it more professional, like it is described a few threads ago...

but i would be interested how many GP's have a faulty d-pad.

^^
poor little gp ... how could u do this  poor poor little gp :p
there was a better fix 1 day ago :D

and i never had a problem with my joystick too
lucky me :p

I have looked at the other thread and, if it's sure that its more "professional", it's not really a final solution because the paper can move, become harder with age, ... . But you can use this and change the paper sometimes, if you don't want to have a trash gp32_console :p

Edit : lol Seraptin, I am cruel :p

Ah, come on, you´re not proud on it. How can you show yourself in the public with this piece of trash ? And besides, i know that it´s not a real fix, since the movement of the stick isn´t limited by the outer case of the unit. AND it still feels loose, and making it even worse, it will grow looser with time, since there can be applied much more force on the now unprotected microswitches.

Fishbong : Dont talk about something you don't know : my joystick's movement WAS limited by the outer case and the movement IS now perfect.

Look at the new picture in the first post, it's is not ugly when you don't zoom on it :p

At least i´m sure it was looking better before the "fix".
And if the case limited the movement of the stick, it also protected it fom wearing out if used with too much force.
But if you´re content with it then well, congrats.

That is the badest und ugliest fix/mod I`be ever seen. I would rather stick to a crappy stick or open the case and do another fix, than melting my gp32 away...

I'm surprised that so many people prefer a gaming console with which you can't play to a true gaming console with a little scratch

All the others way I have tried were unnefective, I am even not sure about the reliability of your new fix... At least, this one work, and if I cuted it like this, I think you can just make a bigger circle if you are more skilled :p
