NesterGP Released

Just to make things clear for people who are waiting for fNes32, it's almost perfect full speed with almost perfect full sound :D No screen-stretching however. Compatibility also seems to be very high.

Hey everyone, it's me, Scherzo, the author of NesterGP. Thanks for recieving it so well. I just want to let you guys know that I intend to speed it up in the future releases. I want to achieve at least 30fps in scaled fast mode. Zip support will be in the next release for sure, although I'm quite sure it will make the listing of directories even slower if you want GoodNES game names with it.
I noticed somebody mentioned about there being no zapper emulation. Try runningg a game like Duck Hunt in unscaled mode and, tada!... there's a crosshair! I was too lazy to bother doing this in any of the scaled modes. Beware though, shooting on target will miss sometimes when frame skipping is enabled since the white color needed to trigger a hit never gets drawn. I'll figure out a way around this.
Oh, and I just registered that domain yesterday, so that's why some of you had trouble getting to the website. The domain needed to propogate to all the DNS servers on the internet.
Anyways, I'll keep you all posted of my progress.

Excellent work, Scherzo! I tried out a bunch of games last night, and they all ran pretty well. Once you get the frame rate up to near full speed, this thing will be unreal. I couldn't get save states to work, however; the GP32 crashed every time I tried to save. Oh well...I'll manage.

Any chance you'll get Castlevania III to run? I know that game's always been a pain to emulate properly...

Yes, I'm aware of the crashing caused by save states. From what I've heard it might be a simple case of running the cpu at 133Mhz instead of 132Mhz. I had no idea it would cause bugs but I'm not surprised. I remember a long a time ago I tried overclocking a PC with some odd bus speed like 75.6Mhz or something. It would work ok for a while then, ZAP, reset itself. I really really want to work a lot on NesterGP right now. My fingers are itchin' to code. But I'm moving tomorrow. I probably won't have broadband for a week or so, maybe longer. So be patient and I promise the next release will be worth the wait. Thanks.

I've been playing Bubble Bobble for two hours.

Why is the boss so HARD!!!!!?!?!?!

Wahoo, I beat him! Not with the true ending though (can't, no second player to get the crystal).

Anywho, great emulator. I've noticed the following:

1. The rom selction needs to be faster. Like 10x faster. I organized all my roms into folders like A-D etc. and it's still pretty slow running through them.

2. My GP32 crashed when saving, but will load just fine.

3. In the rom selection screen, the bottom right part of the screen seems to shake a little bit. Nothing big, just wierd.

4. Sometimes when I select a Rom with "A", it will take me back to the folder I was just at instead of selecting the rom. It's really annoying when this happens since the rom scrolling is real slow.

BEsides all that this emulator rules. Thanks for making it! :D
