I've started a GP32 game review site. So far i've got 3 reviews. The site can be found here. I'm open to any suggestions and comments about the site. I've noticed a couple of link problems and i'll fix them later today.

Questions/Comments
What is the incentive to post reviews at your site than right here at gp32x.de?

gp32x.de has the ability to discuss the review in the forum, will yours have this ability later or a way to rate it?

What will your site add to make it better than other sites that currently have a review?

If I want to post a review on your site, is that possible? I did not see anyway to post/or a form to send in a review. Is this site only for your reviews?

Just curious, not criticizing.

Cheers! :p

Yeah, good point. I might use my site to host the pics and put the reviews on gp32x.de instead.

Yeah, hosting pics is always a pain in the ass. One point that does plague gp32x.de reviews is that there usually is a complete lack of any screen shots. I really like screenies or thumbs in a review. Seeing is believing. B)

I'm sorry to say this but you should probably just shut your site down now and not waste your time. Unless your Don or someone else loved within the scene than nobody is gonna give two shits about your site.

It sounds harsh but it's true, i've seen sites go up and down because there is just 0 interest in sites that are not mainstream or made by people that have not been active in the scene for a long time. And thats basically because none of them ever offer anything new.

If a site is updated enough it can gain immense popularity.

I'm going to try to update it as much as possible. So far I've done a review each day for it. (its only been up for 2 days though.) :p

I would say it`s not bad to open up a new site, but there are already one or two review sites, that are more frequented, so you should maybe post your reviews there (or here :D). More people will read them then, I think.

I hate to say it, but ... more meaty reviews. What you've got are 4 screenshots (good), and 10 brief sentences. Maybe detail the game a little, how it applies to GP32's controls, how the emu or system works, etc. Just listing off a few scores doesn't really help too much, but if you wanted to just do basic scores than you coudl just make a table..

GameName Sound Graphics GP32-Support

Simpsons-Doom 9 9 10 = 28 out of 30
Some Other Game 10 6 5 = 21 out of 30
... etc ...

Otherwise, if you want to do real reviews.. do a full review.

(I just wrote a restaurant review for my blog; its like 4 pages on a normal browser, nice and long. I could've just said "pretty good, but too expensive", but instead I wrote the hell out of it. Give somethign for peopel to enjoy reading, and know where I came from.)

oh and just a heads up if you or anyone else are planning on doing a review for a game on the SNES

I think its nice if you add a layout of how you have the controls set up and what they do (for people who have never played the game)

this can apply to any of the emu's that have more buttons than the gp.. such as some of the older computer systems, etc.

P.S. Your site seems to have a nice start.. I was thinking about doing one kinda like it but I have no time to do anything anymore :( .. enough about me.. good site
