Dunno why, but since yesterday, my Flu crashes when I push this start button. In all applications or games, commercial or not (Astonishia Story, DrMd,F-day preview emulators, Little John, Mafi Sushi Panic etc...).
Any idea??

Sounds bad!

Don`t think it`s batteries.
Did you try formatting your smc and trying everything again?

Mhh I didn't try! I'll try this right now thanks ;) (more precisely, the Gp reboots)

edit: nop.. it still reboots when I push Start.... and even in A.S. so that doesn't come from the smc :(
But somthing weird is that sometimes, pushing the start button works something like 3-4 times and the next time I push it, it reboots.. (or freezes, depends on the program)... I don't like it... Just when I got in holidays :(

Sounds like the trace that is connected to the start button is connected to another trace somewhere on the board. Open up your GP32 and check for stray pieces of metal etc.

Yeah I thought of something like that... I'll try to open it (I love opening these things ^^ the last time it was my game gear :D )

I think I have no more gp32..

edit: oh god it reworks... impressive... a few minutes before I had only a white screen :s .. but the start button still reset the gp32. And I'm sure it's something like you said, a trace connected to another, because when I tried to use the Gp32 opened, without any screws, the start button didn't reset anything.... weird.

edit2: confirmed, if I play without the exterior screw which is near the start button, it works. fiouu.. I have my Gp back :)

edit3: yeah, working... it just reboots (as usual now) when I push hard the button start...

edit4: no simply when I push the button now, and without screw.. so this is a bad contact somewhere inside... hopping I'll have no use of the start button......

hm thats really bad cos you have to use the start button in many games and emus :(

maybe you can send it back to gamepark or where you bought it.
I would try to repair it myself but there is a high possibility of screwing it up xD

okay... I finaly see...

It what was done on my Gp32, but a solder is dead.. so I'll have to repair it.. I didn't knew my Gp32 was modded like that when I bought it.. :p hopping it will not reduce its life esperancy (if I manage to resolder it)
