LOL did anyone watch the Live 8 with Snoop Dogg about 5 mins ago and now on radio 1????

was lots of swearing :p LOL and it was only about 6:40pm

Swearing as in "Shit" , "Mutha Fucker" and "Mutha Fucking"

and it wasnt just once or twice, it was 10+ times

:p hehe

The event is cool, the reason for it is not. You won't solve Africa's problems by throwing money at it.

It isn't about the money you moron. It's about pressuring the leaders at G8 to open trade links and to sever debts so Africa can create a decent infrastructure for itself. That and building public awareness. Don't make ridiculous judgemental claims based on misinformation.

I will. Because I can.

EDIT: And it is about money, they are trying to increase the percentage of money given by each nation.

I bet you think Mugabe is a bad guy too.

Please don't take pride in being a moronic cunt. "You won't solve Africa's problems by throwing money at it." is your exact quote and this is NOT what live 8 is doing. AT ALL. There are no fund raising. They are trying pressure the G8 guys to ultimately allow africa to breathe and to build their own economy by allowing them to trade. Aid is secondary to this and is not emphasised in Live 8. I'm pretty cynical about an overall success in this but the public pressure has helped write off the debt and i'm sure that the TWO BILLION PEOPLE who are watching will have some effect on the G8 leaders.

And yes Mugabe is a bad person for fucks sake. He is commiting a huge abuse of human rights you worthless sack of shit.

Klown,

Throwing money at africa or opening up trade will not stop the massive levels of corruption and clueless management.

Getting Nelson Mandella up on stage had me laughing out loud, that guy has done more to destroy the economy and infrastructure of South Africa than anyone else.

Its upto the people of Africa to rise up and demand change, until that happens all your donations and trade will just goto funding more weapons and chaos and causing another, bigger, generation of people needing to be kept alive via charity.

It is the dictators and corrupt governments which need to be removed, not trade barriers.

How do you intend to remove these dictators? It's impossible without any infrastructure whatsoever or mild stabiliy; Give Africa a foundation so the people can at least survive and then the rest will follow with them at the head, able to actually do something. As you said, charity is not working and this iniative is a damned sight better than throwing money at the problem. Right now Africa cannot do anything, without free and available trade she will never be able to rid herself of corruption and dictatorship. We have to take these steps and tred down the dangerous road ahead.

E: Yes Mandella crippled South Africa but he sure as hell stopped the evils of apartide and he served his time for it. He's a pretty wise bloke.

Has everyone missed the brilliant moment between Gervais and Ross? Anyway Ross comments on his yellow shirt by saying "This shirt is nice, like Africa it's coloured" or something along those lines. Gervais holds in the most uncontrollable laughter as Ross was intending to say that Africa has a bright dress sounded strangely racist considering the event. Funniest TV slip up I’ve ever seen.

The best bit was Pink Floyd Performing Wish you were here after 24 years. Anybody who thinks otherwise is WRONG.
That was the best bit for omgness but the best bit for comedy was the racial slipup.
