Thanks!

hmmm, any suggestions on what i shall fill the content with?

Well yes, as already suggested, GP32 art. It's now up to you to do your research and find as much GP32 related art.... Whether it be art pictures that's in games or other etc. you must ask the author if it's okay to use it though.

ok, i see, but will art do enough to fill up the content, also im not too sure i can do this by myself, any volentiers...hint hint :rolleyes: ....
You should create a link on the side to a page where the art would be located... then separate it into sections, such as "funny art", "game art" (game art could be especially good - I'm thinking here about promotional artwork for upcoming homebrew games, or fan art for things like Crocodingus, etc). Perhaps you could also create a section to gather together all of the logos that have been made for the new GPX2 name. Oh yeah, and be sure to gather together the Hitler images on this board :p (shouldn't be hard; just search for "hitler" on this board and you should find them). I'd be glad to help with the site if you want to give me access (I have some prior experience, what with updating the interactive GP32World site before it got hacked and deleted ;)), though I'll have only sporadic access to the internet for the next few weeks.

Just helping you with finding artwork and posting it on the site, as well as general organizing of the sections. I could make some artwork for it as well. :)

I'm going on vacation until Friday tommorow, though, so I won't be much help until then.

Hia,

I have created the Art & Images menus. I'm going to create a submit art form, this will allow people to fill in the form which will email you with their details with a link to their art etc. I need to know, what email address shall the form send the details to?

TTFN,
Clare.

Hey Sam,

I'm trying to get the mail function to work on your server, it works on my server but not on yours.

The function is contained in the submit-art.php file, take a look.

Any ideas?

Clare.

could it be somethign to do with the path to sendmail?

Not sure, I have used php's mail function. i.e. :

$to='clare@berzerk.co.uk';
$subject='Artwork Submitted';
$from='admin@gptheatre.co.uk';
$TheMessage="Artwork has been submitted:\r\n"

mail("$to", "$subject", "$TheMessage", "$from");

edit:

Is the mail function in php working?

my form works fine Here is where i made it from. You may want to have a look at it as i have no idea how php and stuff works :p

being that's a php page, I cannot see the source code for the form. Also, it's not running on your server.

Have you configured the mail options in your php.ini yet?

Edit:

Looking at the information on the phpinfo page, I think you need to set the sendmail_from option in your php.ini file. Set it to a valid email address, preferably your own.

i have no idea what a php.ini file is or whether i have access to it :p

Am I right in assuming it's your server this is running on, or is someone else hosting it for you? If it's your server, then you will find the file here:
/usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini

edit that file and you will see a mail section and in that there's an option sendmail_from. you should set that to a valid email address.

Backup this file before editing it though.

TTFN,
Clare.

Oh, then you will have to talk to them about the email then. they may require you to do something special in the php code. let me know what they say.
