i've decided not to get a 512mb memory stick for my psp and just get a 1gb instead. but i dont know where to get it from and what price to pay.

i've found some and there saying (not sold with adapter) do i need an adapter? whats the adapter for? i use a memory card reader to put all my homebrew stuff on my psp. im running 1.50 u.s psp.

i think the lowest price i've found it £80 from expansys but thats with a delay cuz there out of stock. please please please help 32mb memory stick sucks lol and i wanna start updating my wipeout pure and putting movies on my psp.

cheers

Gaz.

You don't need the adaptor - all it does is make the stick larger for devices that don't take the smaller sticks.

As for a price, a quick look on Picstop.co.uk says they are £67.40 inc VAT for 1Gb, and in stock now :)

excellent cheers. just ordering it now :-D

should be able to get a couple of roms on that and hopefully finally check out that damn neogeocd emulator

i CAN RECOMMEND L8SHOP.NET, i BROUGHT A 512MB FROM THEM AT £41, THE 1GB WAS £71 INC VAT + £3 POSTAGE FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY (FIRST CLASS).
UNFORTUNATLY A WEEK LATER THEY PUT THERE PRICES UP, THE 512MB IS NOW £46 AND 1 GB £78 BUT STILL NOT BADLY PRICED + GOOD SERVICE. iF YOU ORDERED 2 WEEKS AGO iM SHAW THEY WERE THE CHEAPEST AROUND BUT NOW THEY MAY HAVE BEEN BEATEN, SQUIDGE RECOMMENDED ONE SITE THAT SELLS AT £75 AND LOOKS GOOD, i CANT VOUCH THOUGH I HAVE NEVER BROUGHT FROM THEM BUT I MIGHT SOON, SEARCH AROUND ON GOOGLE FIRST FOR BEST PRICE.

Yup go for ebay. Ive not orderd one form this guy but i think this looks liek a good deal HERE. Oh and no its not my auction either. Seems to have lots of feedback so id say it woudl be a safe buy.

I really do hate ebay'ers like this. They proudly claim "Item location: United Kingdom", and then further down in there text you see "Items will be shipped from New York".

Ebay really needs to clamp down on these sellers - if the product isn't in the UK when its stated as being, then the item should be removed, and the seller banned from ebay for a short period (say a week or so).

Well, £37.89 does indeed seem like a good price, but when you add postage @ £9.95 and mandatory insurance @ £15.99, it comes to £63.83. Since it's coming from New York, there's a chance it could be stopped, and you could get charged import duty and VAT.

So I think I'd rather just spend the extra tenner and buy it from the UK...

get a PRO duo instead of just a regular duo, they access and write faster.

also, you're better off to get the Sandisk than the Sony brand, Sandisk is cheaper, and on top of that, some game website, either IGN or Gamespot, did a side by side test of the Sony vs. the Sandisk, and the Sandisk was much faster than the Sony was, oddly enough.

2gb's are pricey as all heck right now... you might want to consider getting 2 x 1gb's if you really want the space? I think that'd be much cheaper.

Oh and, if you use an external card reader, you DO want the adapter. It comes with the Sandisk sticks, IF you don't get one of those retarded PSP colored/seethrough PSP ones. Just get the regular blue sandisk one, they're cheaper anyways.

Think I have found the cheapest for you and comes highly recommended by all accounts. I will be buying from them in the week (1gb stick), check it out
www.computerwebstore.co.uk. Its abit awkward to navigate round to find the stick but worth while, If you cut and paste this in :

http://www.computerwebstore.co.uk/web/Prod...productinfo.asp

It will take you straight to the product we all long for (512mb is never enough so I've learned, strange though seen as 128 seemed to go alot futher on my gp32)

probably to do with stuff I put on it : neo cd roms : 100mb + , em em games 200mb - 500 +, mp3 albums 80mb+, films 400mb+

go for it, let me know if you do and how you got on or I will because there cheap, cheerful and look good, I post next week !!
