Hi...

I was just applying my patch to Tomak and my batteries ran out....

so put new batteries in and re-applied the patch but now it crashes the GP32 when I try to load the game....

I don't know if it had time to make a backup but I saved it in a folder so does anyone know how to roll it back?

You got an earlier back-up of Tomak? If you do, re-install it from that. Not sure where it puts the backups if you patch a game, but I'm pretty sure id doen't patch it in the first place until its made the backups...

Card-reader wise, its unlikely to help here, since you can't apply patches to stuff via them, nor (easily) install .gpk stuff; has to be through PC-Link, and only works there when you're using a GP32 as opposed to a cardreader (I think).

I just tried to install the backup and the folder I selected has a tomak.gxc file in but that is not recognised by install options of patch options...

The gxc file is as already installed - just replace the one in Gp:\game\tomak\tomak.gxc (or something like that).

i.e. the patch patches the gxc, which is what gets backed up.

but I cannot get into the folders... the file structure is locked...

I click on Game/Tomak and the plus sign and nothing happens... it won't let me browse the files.... it did that before I patched it...

Try going to PC-Link mode without the cable plugged in and following the instruction for fixing the SMC... might let you have access again :)

Just a quick note:
Nope, it you don't need PC-Link.
There exists an GP32 package extractor, so you can easily extract GPKs and
FPKs and copy the files via the card reader.

I installed Mill, Pinball Dreams and Super Plusha using this method, works
just fine :)
