Hello guys !
First, a huge thanks to all GP32 devs. I had (and I'm still having) lots a great hours of gaming and I hope that I can help you in the future (maybe for the GP2X !).
DrMD is incredible and the third version is awesome. Full speed, full sound... Sonic 2 never looked so sexy B)

Anyway, I have a problem with it and I really don't understand.
I have a BLU unit and sometimes, the backlitting turns off and the screen is really dark. I thought it came from my GP32 but this bug only happens with DrMD whatever the rom I play. I've tried to change the frequency of the CPU, I've tried to put new batteries... it doesn't change anything.

Please help me !

The select button turns off the light if held for 2 secs. This can happen in games.

:)

EDIT: PS It turns it on again if you hold it for 2 secs too :)

One for the LOL files maybe ;) hehe

Hum...
I go hanging myself.

Oh my god ! A pink elephant is comming ! Look !
(while I'm running away)

Thanks anyway !

:) It was worth coding DrMD just for that.

I hope they do not use the same method on the GP2X for switching the light on and off. Holding down a button is a bit crap.

EDIT
Remember you can redefine your keys

2 things i can`t understand about the BLU gp32_console

1) why didn`t they map backlight to the start button and/or make the button press time longer?

2) The backlight off is pretty pointless considering it`s virtually impossible to play unlit, due to the amount of tint on the protective screen.

yes I read on the GP2X site that they are going to use the same method, hopefully its not one of the main buttons this time...

This would not happen if you would have a BLU+ biggrin.gif

So the BLU+ doesn't have this function? I thought that both the BLU & BLU+ had this same function.

If its true then I might get a BLU+ as a backup incase my BLU fucks up.

They should atleast set it so it takes two buttons held for 3 seconds to turn off the light, that's something you're not likely to do as often.
