I just purchased an smc card to xd card converter at Fry's for $15, thinking it was my ticket to 1Gb of bliss. Unfortunately I did not do some forum research first, because the GP32 bios does not seem to read higher than 128Mb anyways. I tried a 256 card and a 1Gb card with no success.

The only use for the converter may be to use 128 xd cards because smart media is getting hard to find, but I have not tried it with a 128 yet. I guess I'll return one of the cards I tried and get a couple 128's instead.

EVER do research.

Don`t you think you would have heard of a 1gig solution for the gp32?

You can get 128's online no trouble. They're harder to find in stores but they'll be around for a fair few years yet in online stores, there's a lot of cameras out there that use them.
