179.90 USd seems fair. but they had the tv-out cable included, now it isnt :(

oh well i think the tv-out cables that came with my portable dvd player will work with this if im correct :)

179.90 + 15 $ i hope will be the grand total and cheapest place to get it unless gp32z.com shipping is like a few dollers :p

It was never included, TV-OUT is included, the cable, is not.

I dont think so, from what i've heared it goes by the EXT port. Special for GP2X

Yeah, something like that.

It uses the EXT-Port because TV-Out was added too late for using a standard-port.

but the lcd timing n stuff would go wrong if you use a wrong cable or sumthing. correct me if i am wrong. but that depends if the tv-out is built in in the gp or if it is in the cable.

TV-out is built into the GP2X, but you need the right cable for it.

The cable is extra and fits a specific port allowing the TV-out to be used.

so the gp2x has tv out...SWEET (new news for me)...ahhh i can imagine playing quake on like a 40" plasma tv.....(ps gp32z said the tv-out cables are $10.99 and cases $14.99)

I have a feeling Lik Sang will probably lose some of that cheaper price thanks to shipping. Plus they're probably trying to convince people to buy their tv out cables along with it.

goemon4, i haven't seen that Less than Jake album image in foreverrrrrrr ;)

meaning the ability is built in, you need cables "sold separately" to use it.

There's no picture yet.
I hope that they make them REALLY, REALLY long - many of us don't have a tv next to our bed and must use the living room one instead (also, I personally don't like sitting 1 meter in front of the tv... and all of the outlets for my tv are at the back, so it would be even worse).

nope, it's really really short - wait for it............................ 15cm in length, so we will have to extend it ourselves . bah

here is the post:

tv out cable is about 15 centimeters. so you guys need to connect another cable if you want to use gp2x far away from tv.
thanks

(what are we supposed to do with 6 inches)...............insert puns here please

Well, I'd wager the extension cable needed is standard.

But say, what is the current eta on first batch of GP2X's?

Assuming it's Svideo-out an extention cable for the tv-out is widely availible from any A/V store.
(Actually I found an Svideo to RGB rather easily as well.)
As for a 6 inch cable, you just gotta know how to use it! :p
