After i was lambasted in another thread for saying we are all nerds, i figured i'd find out if you people are glad being called nerds....

i for one enjoy it, im glad i know stupid things about red drawf

of course i dont sit at home all night with thick coke bottle bottom glasses watching deep space nine all night.......... and i dont think i own any pocket protectors.

I'm a nerd and proud of it :) I even watch Deep Space Nine all night! If anyone has a problem with that then they are smeg heads !

yes prefer the term geek myself, then again when your a 16 stone bodybuilder/part time bouncher people dont tend to call me either, )to my face anyhow)

i'm a "retrogaming twat" and i'm proud of it. get called that all the time ;)
people usually just take the word 'retrogaming' out when they call me it and add the word 'fucking'

haha!^^
you're on a roll today, x68k
anyway, as much i love hardware, sci fi, video games, i wouldn't call myself a nerd/geek. i dont try to spend toooo much time with that stuff, it's not healthy :p balance balance balance!

I don't mind being called a nerd, but there are things that I like that stereotypical nerds do not, and vice versa. :) I can't program for beans, for example.

It's not so much that I'm proud - more that I really don't care.

I dont want to make a new thread for this question but i'm in a bit of a dilemma i was wondering if this set out is going to kill my pc? It seems to boot up fine enough but will the bass kill any of the components?

oooh, i love Red Dwarf and DS9 ;)

unlucky, man that's a big sub sitting on top of you pc! unless it vibrates big time, i don't think it'll mess up your components, but who knows.

I actually think of myself as a extremely technologically advanced super human. Not a geek.
But there goes.

i too am i gamer, not really a nerd/geek, but a gamer, my friends try to take the piss in calling me a nerd, but there just messing around, i think

Closet geek, ive yet to come out :p

At home and work i spend loads of free time reading up on techy things and pc's etc.. but when out with friends never speak about any of that stuff...

It can kill your harddisk.

That's like destroying your life.
