External Harddrives Etc Possible

Meh, I think it'd work but I fail to see the point.

It doesn't look as though you can be selective, meaning this is fine and dandy if you've got, say, a 1GB Flash Drive and a 1GB SD Card. Finish watching the stuff on the SD card, wipe it in the GP2X, transfer the stuff off the USB Flash drive.

That's nice and all, but it's no help for my 250GB USB HD Drive.

You are right, I don't think it is exspecially usefull either (well maybe for a usbstick), but I was researching this OTG usb stuff (which the GP2x sadly doesn't have as I found out) and came across this and thought it might be usefull to someone over here.

Perhaps someone could come up with replacement firmware for the device and a driver for it. To turn it into a sort of external USB-slave to host adapter?

It can be semi useful for dumping a movie or 2 at a time onto the GP2X's SD card, In a way it can still be quite portable as it only needs to be plugged in while it's copying across. then again I guess it'll just try to copy everything on the other drive over, not much good whe you have a 20+GB USB HDD thing vs a 1/2GB SD card :)

Now if you can read/write the data on the other device that would be pretty handy but I doubt the device is setup for this (not on purpose anyway)

Someone please figure out how to add an external hard drive for this. Sure 1GB is fine for games and ROMS but I would love to have a self powered host hard drive with all kinds of stuff on it in case I get bored in some remote place with a ac plug.
