Ok, I've had my unit for a couple of weeks now and just lurve the thing! I can't believe how quickly stuff is getting ported to this console - I went away for a few days last week and came back to discover a whole slew of new games and updated emu's! Brilliant :).
Anyway, my point... My GP2X regularly freezes on 1st boot requiring a reset to get it going. It also freezes during some of the emu's at various points. I was wondering if anyone had the same issues? I have been assuming the boot problems are caused by early firmware versions and the emu's problems are caused by early code. If this is the case then that's not a problem, I can certainly live with it until they get sorted. I just wanted to find out if these probs are specific to my unit or whether other people are getting the same issues?

i think the problem of freezing when booting is common. I think itrs something to do with reading the SD, try booting without a card, then putting it in after. I had this problem until i updated to firmware 1.01, the new fiormware seems to have fixed it. as with the emus, maybe battery problems, and maybe the game isn't fully supported.

I have the same problems even after I upgraded to version 1.01. As for the emu, I've used the NES and SNES emu; I only get freezing with the SNES emu. I believe it is not recommended to insert an SD card while to unit is on. Hot swapping I don't think is supported yet.

oh i also formatted the card in windows before flashing the firmware, so maybe this made the difference? my card couldn't flash the firmware before formatting...
