It's just incredible... I never played Megadrive like this before! The graphics so sharp, frameskip 0, sound @22khz, it looks so much better than on any TV or even PC Monitor!

After playing Sonic&Knuckles that way -and I also own Sonic Rush for the DS -let me tell you one thing: they just don't compare. It's really incredible to see megadrive games so close to their native resolution on the gp2x screen, so bright, so vivid, so sharp. I still can't believe it

Oh man, I sure hope the SNES Emu will be as good as drmd someday! (however I can't play Megaman, the wily wars[compilation of megaman 1-3, remaked in 16bit graphics] and that's a bit sad but this is subject to change I guess)

yeah there as a few games that havent worked correctly for a good long time even on PC emulators, Wily wars still had graphic blemishes in some places in Dgen lst time I tried it and ExoSquad didn't work untill maybe 3 or 4 months ago.

your skin does not look awfull.

Oh it does(the backgrounds are screwed up, the adio player is screwed up, the file selection should have the colors inverted,...). I'll fix it sometime this or next week, I am busy right now and there is so much to try on my gp2x :)

I sure hope Reesy can make Wily Wars run at least in some state, cause it's THE game I wanted to play

I played Sonic and Knuckles last night and I was very very impressed. The menu in DrMD is totally messed for me - the text flashes and does weird wrapping and refreshing things. Is this maybe due to me not having updated my firmware?

Also, I have seen a few graphics glitches in some games (Zombies Ate My Neighbours), and a few others just won't load, but on the whole, it is a very impressive piece of software. Keep up the good work!

Yes it's the firmware, after installing the new one, the menu is working perfectly for me.

I have always wanted a good hand held hockey game and now I have one(NHL98) and it is perfect. The ones for the GBA sucked and there still isn't one for the DS.
I hope everyone who enjoys this emu donates some money to the developer.

Yeah, I just loaded up my roms started out with some earthworm jim :D

Willy wars works fine on the Gens Emulator for windows :)

yeah... I hope it will happen.. But the biggest thing im pleading for is mp3 support in every emu :) Thatd make my day and id be spilling donations all over haha.

you should get a MP3 player, then you would have MP3 with ALLLLLLLLLLL your games, even on other machines :D

Couldn't a shell script be coded to have mplayer running in the background?

(Not A couple of modifications would probably be in order, but do you see what I'm saying?)

I believe you can't actually complete wily wars unless you have the Japanese version.

It unlocks the wily tower by writing to the SRAM in a way that emulators hate and it's only recently they fixed it for the Japanese version in emulators

Are you guys running the emulator with any overclock?...i find that it runs much much better at around 240 mhz.

Just wondering how many people are running theres with the processor overclocked

DrMD is the most perfect emulator I've played in a long time, except maybe VBA which absolutely rocks.

It's amazing seeing Megadrive games on my GP2X. I always played them on a crappy black-and-white TV and they looked awful.

I run mine at 266 and it's full speed, aside from the 1/4 second occasional stutter. Anyone else get this? is it a bug? I thought it was the autoframeskip changing but it happens on FS0 too

sure, at original speed it's only running at 50FPS use the "show FPS" option ;)
overcklocking to 240/266 gives a magic subliminal effect of fluidity, reaching the all mighty 60FPS!

Its linux related I'd assume, doing something in the BG.

At what CPU speed does everything become perfect? I know most of the things I play are 60fps at default speed, whats the most taxing game?

If you turn off framskip in the menu and run at default speed you will notice slowdowns. I think the one I tested it on was Sonic 1. Also the music becomes quite choppy @ 200mhz as well. I've been running my 2X at 266mhz with FS 0 (off) with no visible slow downs yet. This is the de facto way of playing this mighty fine emulator at my house.

As someone stated works fine on Gens...but the best pc genesis emu imo is Fusion 3.4...this emu rocks plain and simple...Steve Snake codes an amazing emu.
