I got 2 DS games and 1 UMD movie. The games i got from my wife were Elf Bowling and Mario and Luigi Partners in time.

Though i would not recommend Elf bowling to anybody, it truely is a horrible game, Partners in time was suprisingly good. But the story makes absolutely no sense. Whomever devised the story should've watched some movies about time travel before they made the game.

I got a new GBA SP with the new brighter screen. Ever since I got a DS, I have been wanting to pick up another SP. I am afraid that they will sometime in the future be obsolete. I like it because you can play the older game boy carts. I am glad they added the backlit screen. Upon turning it on for the first time and holding it up to the DS, I noticed that the screen was brighter! Pushing the little button thinking to dim the SP screen, I suddenly saw a bright light and thinking I had died! It was only the SP screen even brighter. Why did they put this on the SP and not on the DS? Was it a battery issue? I have gotten out every GB game and began running through them seeing what they really look like. :p

I also received,
Meteos DS (Great!)
Puyo Pop Fever DS (I like Puyo Puyo)
Viewtiful Joe DS (amazing, a GC game on the DS) :D
Gunstar Super Heroes GBA (WOW)
Shadow of the Colossus PS2 (my first outing ended in being stepped on!)

I have some money which I plan on using to buy the rare handheld i found. As previously stated, i will post images :D

and 2 gift certificates I plan on using at eb or something. no concrete games yet

^That is probably one of the best games I have ever played.

I got:
Mario kart ds - good single player, rather troublesome online play
animal crossing ds - never played the original gamecube game so i'm having a blast. Tom Nook's shop was closed today and Crazy Redd's tent showed up. However, I have no idea how to get in..... he wants a password.....
final fantasy iv gba - Never played this game on the snes, played it for about 4 hours and, as I suspected, it's great.
sigma star saga - Haven't even tried this yet. I don't want to start any more rpg's until I beat xenosaga episode 1 (I'm on the song of nephilim! I'm almost done!), final fantasy iv, and mario & luigi partners in time.

I was dissapointed. I had a Christmas tree in the corner. When nothing happened, I took the tree to Tom Nook's shop and sold it on Christmas day! With all the real time stuff going on they could have at least done something with all the Holidays. I now have no expectations for New Years eve. :(

wait a sec, am i understanding this correctly, Animal Crossing can be played Online by yourself, and there could be events and stuff? I thought Animal crossing could only be played if you had other peoples friendcodes, not like Mario kart where it finds 4 people for you. am i wrong on this? If so, i'm going out today and buying this.

on new years eve check your mail and if i am correct your ingame parent's will send you 10,000 bells.

P.S. change the date to find out! B)

I read that they removed christmas, halloween, and a couple other holidays from the original game to make it more "universal".... they probably got a lot of angry atheists sending them mail about how evil it is to include a religious holiday that is celebrated by the majoirty of the games audience in their game.

Well, that sucks..... I'm always upset when japan gets the games first :p If they taught japenese at school i would definitely learn it and then I could try importing some games.

Hey who needs to know japanese to play import games? Not me. I got Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan from japan for ds and i dont understand wat they are saying but i can figure out wat to do. Most other games are like that so i might pick up final fantasy 4 if i can be bothered.

I considered this but I was too worried that I wouldn't be able to understand what to do. Maybe I'll look back into that.......
