windups???/

i dont know exactly, it depends what kind of file it is, put each file in different folders:

GAME - This is the folder where .GXE and .GXC files are located such has the GP Launch program.
MP3 - This is the folder where your MP3's are kept
GPSYS - Gp32 system files
GPMM - This is the folder where your .FXE files such as homegrown demos, games, emulators are located
GPETC -
PD - This folder is not made when formatting your card but homegrown .GXB files are kept here.

try, in pc-link, going to the FILE icon in the top left hand corner, and then go onto INSTALL, and then find the windups file. this is just a guess, im not sure though.

It doesn't automaticly load up when you turn your GP32 on. You have to run it from the Free Launcher program.

sorry i dont know what the free launcher is and if i have to download it do u happen to know where please

cheers :D

you should have been prompted to install free launcher when you registered, for info read the whole of the newbie faq HERE, its quite helpfull.

ARghhhhh this thing has fried my brain,
all i have managed to to is get the free launcher into the game menu?

when i select that it just resets the console???

I installed the windups in the same directory as the free launcher, still no luck.

Tried the snes emu as well and it did not appear in the game menu, neither did the windups???

Any quick easy advice to get them working please

You not have to COPY freelauncher to your SMC, you have to INSTALL IT (first menu under PC-LINK), wish here's your mistake...

You can only do that by flashing your BIOS to a non-official one, but that risks messing up your GP32 so much that it is IMPOSSIBLE to fix it with software.

So, in order to use windups or emus or divx I need to flash my bios on the gp32.

that doesn't sound to healthy as i fried my pc when i tried to flash my bios.

how does this snes9xgp work??? :(

Sorry to be so dumb guys but please try and reply

If you want to get GP free launcher "unofficial" way go to #gp32 irc channel at efnet.
There type "!encrypt your_pduid free_launcher". Chech other programs that can be encrypted by typing "!applist".. there is e.g. windups binary. Encrypted proggies go under gp:\game and don't need free launcher for starting. There are several programs to dig out your pduid like gps2.. but as someone suggested read those gp32 newbie docs.. or ask someone on #gp32..

Hey nice one m8,
but I'm on 56k and it takes forever :(

I have the official free launcher but why does it not run wind-ups?

sorry that last post was kind of tecnical for me (just got up to)

No, you don't need to flash your BIOS to do any of those things, but if you want Windups to start automaticially, you do. I wouldn't flash my BIOS, it's just risking $150 on getting Windups to start faster.

Okay step by step guide for running windups and other programs using free launcher

Firstly windups and free launcher come as FPK files, you dont have to do any kind of copying with these, just go to the file menu in PC link and click install, first select the freelauncher file, that'll install, then select the windups file. Now start your GP32 and select game, it should show an icon and say free launcher press a to select this and a bit of korean text will appear then it'll load.

Most files however, come as fxe files, with these you install free launcher the same way, but you have to actually copy the FXE file to the GPPM folder, the readme will tell you where to put everything else.

Nice and basic that's what I like! :D

But the problem now seems to be with the free launcher it appears as yopu say on the game menu, however when I select thje free launcher all it does is reset the console (no korean text? :(

I dl from the official free launcher website, any ideas?

P.S

Thanks for all the posts, it's good to see that even dumb newbs get replys for their post.

Keep it up guys!
