Gp2x Emulator On Pc?

This should be a sticky as it's asked quite frequently, but the answer is always the same.

To test GP2X programs on a PC, you need to write them in SDL, so that they can be recompiled for whatever platform you want to test them on. There is currently no other way.

there are far too many unknown hardware variables on the GP2x to even think about writing an emulation for it right now. although the process of actually *trying* to create one would teach you a lot more about the console than the poor documentation available atm. dont even think about one for quite some time yet

You've got to admit though, it would be funny watching GPH's code trying to turning the emulator into a brick :)

Wait, I have a brick, but an emulator wouldn't be bricked forever like mine seems to be.

I think I'm going to have a stab at this, if only it gives me more knowledge of exactly how the console works from the "other side". Don't expect anything usable however, as I'll probably give up in a weeks time or so when I get bored of it :D
