Another One Fo Them Gp2x "killers"

This time from the once mighty commodore now owned by yeahronimo ventures, more details here.

From article
"With the price not yet set, but at a likely $700"

I would never, not in a million years, spend that much money on anything i might accidently drop in the toilet. And besides, the only thing that might kill the GP2X is the GP3X, but thats not gonna be for a while.

Not worthwhile for me! Heck, you can get a bargain laptop for that price!

If a GP3X or somthing ever came out a HD would be nice. Even just a small one would be possible?

It starts out looking okay from the bottom (ergonomics is different, how would you hold that?), but then they used a spud splitter/cheese grater motif for the speakers.

(spud splitter, see device used to make chips out of potatoes)

I think the "cheesegrater motif" is supposed to be reminiscent of the air vents on the C64 (later model not breadbox), another person i showed the link to has suggested the unit looks like a c64 datacorder.

the buttons on that thing are tiny, and theyre so far down the bottom of the unit, i dont see how you could possibly hold that properly.

Yeah, buttons looks hard to use and it's kinda ugly. I don't think it's meant for games, even if it says it is. And it runs windows so that will add 100-150 to the price alone. Commodore used to be a software company also, wonder what happened.

Thanx,
Stan

I agree and in my honest opinion, it looks shite and cheap.
Look at all that wasted space!....cheap looking speakers, shitey looking interface and like second_excdous said, the controls look a bit hard to use for games.

Commodore = Don't bother trying to release it, unless it's under 80 pounds each, lolz. :D

$700 (usd?) is so cheap these days...
