GP2X Splash Screen Petition To Get Our Way

We need a test of the double babelfish:

This
Well, you can create understandable Korean (or probably understandable Korean) by double-babelfishing it and throwing grammar to the wind. After all, if it translates into Korean *and* back to the same in English, it was probably a fairly (if not totally)decent translation.

Alternatively, find someone who does speak Korean - these days there do seem to be a few around, though I can't remember any of their names, unfortunately, atm - and get them to do it smile.gif.
Turns into this
The Korean language by dotted decimal notations babelfishing it will can understand in the wind which well, it spreads out (or it is possible and the grammar which) with it throws the Korean language it will can understand it will can create. When anyhow * -* where it faces each other the identical water back with English and it translate with the Korean language, it is possible and it is and and when (it is not like that a a process and, the totally) decent translation. It goes out and it is what of atm their names, if it is unfortunate and to think, possibility it is not it wins and but, with selecting on alternative, discovery the Korean language - from recent that place it is visible - it talks and and them it smile.gif and and this in some circumference and who gets.

I personally don't care enough to put a nag screen on any software i may develop in the future (shameless plug: Hello World coming 2006!)

Tripmonkey_uk: The problems is that they are failing at it, and not releasing the code for their changes.

Not to mention that they are screwing over the great work done by

these guys http://www.mplayerhq.hu/
these guys http://www.busybox.net/
these guys http://kernel.org/
these guys http://sourceforge.net/projects/uboot/

And probably more.

We just want them to comply with the GPL which in the end will benfit them as much as it will benefit us.

Being a small company isn't an excuse to step on others work.

Actually it's not 'uboot', it's 'U-Boot' (two completely different bootloaders).
Uboot is no longer being maintained, while U-Boot is still under production and development at www.denx.de

That website is an excellent source of info on how the boot process, and firmware upgrade processes work. They also have a download available of a development kit (ELDK) for linux ( GCC version 3.3 though), as well as a source code version for people using alternate versions of GCC (us). I've been researching this thoroughly over the last month. Given the proper source code used for the U-Boot loader on the GP2X, we could create our own bootloader (proper SD support , HH, etc)
However, GPH NEVER released that code, just the code used for the dev kits.
So much for the supposed 'open source' policy of GPH. Just more marketing BS.
