hi there,
i'm playing diddy kong's quest on snes9xgp (v0.95b). i tried to save my game, and all seemed right, but when i start the game again there are no save games. doesn't snes9xgp support saving yet? or am i making a mistake?
there is a saving option in the snes menu. what's that for?
thanks a lot

its there but not activated yet

no its there in snes9xgp and works fine. It would be awesome if it had save states though that would really come in handy for eum's on the gp32. So often I start playing a game when I'm waiting a few minutes somewhere then I have get up and go right away and don't have time to get to a save point. Oh well little john supports this and that emu is all i really need on the gp32.

save states would rock because im sooo tired of saving it ingame and then forgeting to write sram and my batteries cut out and i have to start from scratch.

Ok, i dont a have a gp yet, but what about games like mario where in the game there is no save option do you still go to the menu and save it? From what i can tell, when the game saves it made into a temporary file, but then saving on the main menu makes that file permanent, is this the case?
-Also, how do you like the emulatiors, do they work well (especially the snes ones, and do you have good sources to get the roms, and how large is an snes roms)?

In mario you have to save in the game. You can save in the game after you beat a ghost house, castle, or one of the colored switch things. After you save in the game, you chose to save in the menu. This creates the .srm file, the save file.

I really like the emulators, and they work very well. Snes9xgp is okay speed right now, but the next version will be full speed with sound. Most snes roms are from 512k to 4 megs.
