It's just a private version for now. But they will release a public version soon. So try to wait, I know it's hard! ;)

I wont expect anything in mode7 to run decent, but I hope something like Mario World or Chrono Trigger will be fast enough.

mode 7 games run at a decent enough speed for me on snesemu. I find f-zero on the emulator to be pretty nice. I hope the new version of snes9xgp can match snesemu as far as speed goes. If so I'll turn on sound and play it moderatly jumpy and be happy with it.

Well, I just hope some of the more simple games run fast enough to play. I never was a big fan of F-Zero for snes, but I like Mario Kart.

would be nice if he inserts a overclocking feature with an 150, 156 and 166 option.
20 mhz more is still a bit faster, i mean before stop the project with no more release

There most likely won't be an overclocking option as I have e-mailed him about this (and so has Azure I think) and he was pretty strickt that he did not want to "fry everyone's GP32's" :\

Well, if normal games (without special chips) run fine with sound it would be enough for me. I really love Mario Kart, but it uses the FX chip which is much harder to emulate and it was a long time until a SNES emulator for the PC even run that game, so I don't think the GP32 can do that with full speed since it has to emulate another CPU.
BTW, at which speed does the current version of the SNES emulator runs?

Mario Kart only uses a DSP chip to aid Mode 7 processing. The actual SuperFX2 chip ran at 21MHz (faster than the GBA core, though less feature-packed). There's also the SA-1 used in Kirby Fun Pack/Super Star/Super Deluxe and Dream Land 3, plus Mario RPG, which is something like an extra SNES CPU core.

The FX chip is a lot harder to emulate, but AFAIK Mario Kart just uses mode-7 scaling, not the FX chip. You'll notice that the ground is the only thing in that game that does anything remotely 3D, the rest is all 2d, which corresponds with mode-7 capabilities.

I'd imagine that it was simply that most emulators did mode7 really poorly to begin with. :)

Ah, ok, I think I merged something...
But the FX chip was used in Starfox, right?

lylat wars is the PAL n64 version of starfox64

I have it in my hand right now :)

Its named lylat wars cause the solar system is lylat and your having a war in it

why they didnt names it starwing 64 have no idea ???

But i do remember seeing a game called star fox for the c64 (Pal only release) so i guess thats why the first game was named starwing and not starfox the name is prob still copyrighted but im not sure???
