Metriod Prime Hunters Anyone?

Your not describing it well at all.

Think UT2004 over WIFI on the DS. Thats the multiplayer.
Think Open-Ended FPS/RPGish game where you race other BH's to the bounty. And if someone gets there first, you gotta find them and kill them for it. Whats even cooler, is the rumored ship flying in the game. But no screenies of it yet.

EDIT: Anyway, Im getting this game.

I'm getting it, too, because the demo was awesome. But I'm hoping there's a good single-player experience here, too. Metroid was primarily about exploration and atmosphere and I'd hate if that was tossed aside in favour of just another fragfest.

Known facts about single player game:

1 you travel multiple planets
2 unlinear and metroid prime-ish gameplay
3 you meet with other hunters and they can steal your artifacts or you can steal theirs.

Personally, the hunters look so cool, and Spire is my favorite.

Sounds alright. The Prime series hasn't let me down yet so I'm sure it'll be good if it's like you described. Like I said, I'm picking it up anyway, but a good single player game will definitely make it more worth it than just multiplayer.

I preordered the game, since the demo was good (as crude and unfinished feeling as it was). I actually love using the stylus to control.

And Ravnos, im with you on the single player mode. I hope thing things codeninja pointed out are done well. But i have a decent expectation, judging by Metroid Prime on gamecube.

This game has a decent chance to dethrown gameboy tetris IMO. BTW I don't understand Nintendo pitting their two aces together like that. Although they're different kinds of games, the sales will still eat up each other's at some degree.

I think not. For people like me, im gunna get both. For people who are FPS fans, they get metroid, and puzzle fans, get tetris. If they were two similar games, then ide say yes, but they are completely differnt genras so ya. I dont think it will hurt sales too much.

this and mario kart are seriously tempiting me into selling the psp and getting a DS lite when it is released.

You won't get much money by selling PSP, or any hardware for that matter. Just buy DS lite, and have a contest between you and me on who's PSP collects more dust. :p

i'll get at least £160-180 on ebay for it, possibly tip two hundred if i can time it just right.

i've had my eye on ebay auctions for 1.5 psp's in the UK, by throwing in my otherwise useless games and memory stick into the auction i can hopefully top two hundred.

the way i see it, although the games and stick were bought for over £150, i have no need for them at all without the psp, i think i'll get more by making a job lot out of them then by selling the accessories, games and system seperately.

tetris ds online?!?!? the ds release list just gets better, im thinking of selling my psp to get a ds lite(should get enough, 1.5fw 3 games 1 umd movie, 2gb and 512mb memory sticks) i'll keep my fat ds so i can play my girlfriend at tetris. not bothered about metroid although i thought the demo was ok although i didnt like prime, i prefer the gba metroids better.

I really liked Metroid Fusion on GBA as well, and just picked up Zero Mission before it gets hard to find. They are fairly linear, but i think that works ok on a handheld that you play for just short bursts.

I liked what i played of Prime on the GC, and the hunters demo was fun as well. Im hoping a lot of the CG prime elements are incorporated into the final version, since im pretty bored of plain-jane FPS. Hoping this doesnt dissapoint.

as long as the wifi is fun to play, i don't give a rats ass about a story. I remember how much fun it was to play Duke Nukem over a modem with friends and i'm hoping for the same kind of experience, and hopefully they'll add chat support with a virtual keyboard on the touch screen, that'd be cool.
