im thinking of getting on of these gp2x thingys, is it possible to do the following:

get a keyboard, get a gp2x, get a windows emulator, get a tv out connector and plug it in to tv and basically use it as a laptop?

might make it easier to justify to the missus if i can do this!

thanks

At the moment, to be blunt, no...
There are emu's that will allow you to run Win95, but very slowly...
Keyboards, nope, only on screen ones that are part of other applications.

Getting a TV out and connecting it to the TV is fine though.
Even playing AVIs off an SD card onto the TV is good.

Use it as a laptop, not really.

brill thanks for that..

ill probably get one anyway, ive only to annoy her

It will probably help you in future to title your threads more specifically, e.g. "Could the GP2X be used as a laptop?" rather than "Question".

i think i saw something on the gamepark site where they sell products that u can buy a keyboard to plug into your gp2x
but atm theres no purpouse for it
there are loads of great stuff out at the moment
but it will be at its peak in 2yrs mayby where the thing wont crash if u havnt got the right patch or firmware or code.
Movies work great on it though so atleast u have a v gd movie viewer

But at the moment there's no purpose for it.

(Sorry, it's a Grammar Nazi's duty :p)
