I noticed references in some newer releases of EMUs of speed gains from newer SDL
librarys like LibSDL, such as GNGeo.

I've only installed the standard SDL, do I need to install different versions ?

Thanks.
DG.

I can only speak for gngeo.
As it's compiled in static, you don't need to install any libs.

As far as I know, most gp2x apps are compiled statically so you don't need to worry about installing libraries.

If the README or installation instruction of a program don't tell you you have to install SDL libs onto your GP2X that's because you don't need to. These programs cannot use newer SDL version without recompilation.
