Any chance of a convertion of skyforce the amazing mobile shootemup by infinate dreams.
That would be the bollocks :)

hehe no source, no port remember? Or do you rather not read any of the words spelled in capitals?

Seriously, isn't this game for symbian only at the moment? I doubt that there will ever be a conversion since it is a commercial game thats still sold... so the devs won't release the source ofcourse.

This game looks sweet though. Unless anybody gives a shot at a symbian emulator, you will never see this beauty run on your gp2x...

Edit: Oh I see that there is a palmos version aswell as a java version (is the palmos version in java?!)... hmm, still not going to happen i guess

Its an amazing game used to have it on my motorola a1000 untill it broke, one of the best shootemups ever on any console/handheld/phone/

that would be a cool idea actually. Wasn't there another company that originally did cellphone games who wanted to develope games for the gp2x?

If they released starforce for the gp2x, I would certainly buy the game... it looks sweet and judging by the enthusiastic posts of supaimposter the gameplay sounds worth it...

haha check this out! Some guy just asked if an ikaruga conversion or something similar was possible... guess it is if int13 release this one for gp2x!

i don't get your meaning...? int13 really did say they were doing some ports, they even set up a gp2x section on their site. i wouldn't have said anything if i thought it was unrealistic. i just haven't heard anything in a while, but i remember someone from int13 posting here saying that their arcade collection was almost ported. they even had a screenshot of goldmine playing on a gp2x. and even before that, there was talk of a crazy kart port.

now i checked out ikaruga and that does look like a great game...i may even tell my lil' brother to look out for it since he owns a gamecube. but i think i can safely say that nothing that complicated is going to make it to ANY handheld system in the near future. and definitely not one that's without 3d acceleration.

but what's so hard to believe about int13 doing ports?

First of all, Darklaga was written using an old version of the int13 game library. This means that there is no simple way to convert Darklaga to another platform simply by adapting the new library - some code would have to be rewritten, perhaps even lots.

Second, I discontinued support fo the Darklaga code base (I was the original programmer), so any modifications now rest upon the shoulders of the int13 core team, and I'm not really sure if they will ever get around to it (I rather doubt it)

I'm pretty certain that Darklaga will never be ported to GP2x. I'm sorry, guys.
