Cleaning Up My Root Directory.

So, quick question.

I want to organize my GP2X, but I'm afraid to move all the interface files, ie, the imgx files, because I don't know if they have to be in the root directory for the GP2X to use them/access them.

So, my question was, do they? I'm tired of having a cluttered GP2X.

edit: also, whatever the answer may be, does this apply to all other things I put on my GP2X? like, if I put massive amounts of games, I can organize them as I see fit?

Ya, look in the thread about GP2x file trees to see my current layout.

Root/Games/Gamename/Gamename.gpe

While any folders that have to be with the gamename.gpe file.

Most games can be placed where you like with few limitations, but there are exeptions. *Eyeballs DrMDx*

what are you talking about?

You can place that anywhere.

The gpe file can be anywhere. Roms are in the roms/megadrive folder...

I think he was refering to the root of the filesystem not the root of the sd card

im referring to this:

/mnt/sd/Games/Gamename/Gamename.gpe

Or, in windows terms

X://Games/Gamename/Gamename.gpe

Where X is the drive of your SD card.

I know what you meant, but it's not what you said, besides lets not argue.
