Dear all,

I've placed a few short stories from an ezine website on my GP2X as .txt files.

The text wraps in accordance with the width of the GP screen but does so mid-word: so a word is split accross two lines. Although the stories are readable, it's a minor annoyance and I wondered if there was a solution?

MS Notepad wraps at 76 characters (I think) and presumably the GP wraps at a different number of characters: is there any way to change either so that the two are compatible.

In your debt, as always for any help proffered.

That avatar of yours is creepy.
Now THAT was helluva answer. Damn...don't write anything. I don't use my gp2x for reading, but after some testing I think there's nothing you can do about it.

ok my bad...not like this kind of answer didn't have any reason ;)

I use ultraedit on windows to wrap the text at 52 characters.

From the menu bar:

Format > Paragraph formatting > Paragraph setup/formatting

set:

specify margin: 0
right margin: 52
alignment: left

then you can open up any text file, hit ctrl-a, ctrl-t and it'll be formatted for the gp2x reader.

You can download a trial version but it will give you a nag screen if you don't pay for it after x days. Then again, you can probably live with that if you are just using it to wrap text.
