What Would Lack Of Playable Ps3 Game Do?

I've read from Spong that Sony may have as much representation of PS3 as they did with PSP at 2004 E3, which was practically none-playable unless you call moving camera around in MetalGearSolid Acid a gameplay.

If that turns out to be true, what impact would it make to the gaming industry if any? Would it change your mind regarding PS3 at all? While I was kinda expecting that from my gut feeling, I'll be greatly disappointed and be frustrated by Sony if it actually happens. I'm crossing my fingers..and toes.

this is the last "big" event before the release, they realy dont have another chance but showing showing games,
if they have playable ones or not isnt realy in question, they allready had playable unreal at gdc.

it wouldn't do anything. PSP didn't have anything playable when it debuted at E3 and yet it still won best hardware over the DS which did have playable games.

The Tokyo Game Show is Sep 22-24.

What would be the reason for this if it happens? They don't have a game to show, or they're playing hype game by keeping their cards hidden as long as they can? Yes, I didn't understand how PSP won best hardware award without showing a single playable game, and it'll be a great injustice if that happens again. My small brain doesn't have a processing power to understand how things work in this industry; maybe I need a cell processor myself. ;)

With the X360 already in gamer's hands for a half a year, a poor showing for the PS3 at E3 would be very damaging to Sony. Conversely, a strong showing could do a number on the X360's prospects.

It'll be an interesting E3--that's for sure.

You believe anything spong writes? Please read more credible news sites. Spong is known to make crap up a lot. Read the thing. An anonymous source from an unnamed company says, "Bla bla bla no ps3, bla bla bla"

And its spong, so I call this false until proven true by a more credible source. They may be right, but its spong, so Im not too sure about them.

You REALLY don't know how badly Xbox 360 is doing everywhere but America.

As much as I hope the report is false, I think spong has some credability on them such as x360 name and the unveiling of X360 on MTV was first reported by them and they reported Revo controller unveiling at TGS last year before others if I remember correctly. Yes, being a rumor site would cause them to report false info a lot, but I don't think they're are 100% wrong, either.
