Love C64 sounds? And you like Beat2x?

Well, try out my new Beat2x Pack :)

Enjoy music from these classic C64 SID tunes:
MULE, Bubble Bobble, Nebulus, Garfield, Krakout, Ghosts'n'Goblins, Commando

Have fun and HAPPY EASTER :)

Ed, that is a great Easter Present! How great do these sound!

I searched a while ago and managed to get Monty Mole on my Handy. Didn't really work as the song takes a while to get going, by which time the caller hangs up.

But still...

Man, but commando is sounding great!!!!

Oh, Ghosts and Goblins....

Thanks again!!!!

hmm... I think something is wrong... whenever I go to start this, my GP2X just freezes...

Hm? Is anybody else having this problem?
I played it today before packing it, maybe there's a fault in the zip...?

No. Everything's fine here.

FFNoir, try downloading again, and make sure you have enough room on your SD card. Also, have you 'installed' Beat2x packs before? Just making sure... there shouldn't be a single reason that it doesn't work for you.

Great pack and great selection of tunes. I love this kind of sounds... Thanks EvilDragon!

Regarding the problem FFNoir is talking about, yes I've had exactly the same results in my GP2X. I've checked the error through USB Serial and it says that it cannot find MULE.ogg, even though it is there. After doing a 'ls' inside the c64 pack I noticed that the name it had on my SD was mule.ogg (lowercased)!

In order to solve this, I've unzipped the pack, renamed MULE.ogg and MULE.bxe to mule.ogg and mule.bxe, and edited songlist.bxs so the first song is called 'mule' instead of 'MULE' (be careful not to use Notepad but another editor like Programmers Notepad that allows line endings using the LF format and not CR+LF). Now it works.

I think it's related to how Windows and NTFS (not sure if this happens with FAT32 as well) deal with upper and lower case, and don't know how to solve it from inside Beat2X. I have the same problem with MAME, for example. Even though the folder is called 'MAME', if I browse that folder from my GP2X it doesn't appear between 'GameBoy' and 'MegaDrive' (as it should be) but after "Stella" and in lowercase.

So EvilDragon, if you don't mind please change the MULE name to avoid this.

Btw, did I mention that I'll release a new version by the end of this week (and that now this statement is true)? :)

Thanks for the info :)

I'll change the case... and let's see what system I'll do next for some nice Beat2x pack :)

May I suggest NES? :)

Haha, soooo many different suggestions :)

Let's see, Amiga, NES, Genesis and GameBoy are probably the next systems I'll do.
I never really played Atari ST, so I'm not that "touched" by the system as I am from the others :)

As for your next pack... how about Amiga? Atari ST would be good too (but Amiga is better).
What about GameBoy? Nintendo classics would rock... :)
missed this and have to say

CANT WAIT!
