Hey - am looking into getting a GP2X and am trying to get a handle on its capabilities. Dunno how many of the old games on it will be attractive to me, but one thing that occured to me is interactive fiction on the road would be really cool.

Can the GP2X run the IF engines (TADS and HUGO and all that)? And if so, is the text readable/not completely bad for your eyes on the screen?

Thanks for the help:)

Interactive..? I don't really know, but are you looking for one of those old "choose your way" adventure games?...

Visual novels? Those sound cool.

Sorry, I forget how small the IF community is - by interactive fiction I mean, like the stuff Infocom made back in the day (Zork, A Mind Forever Voyaging) or the stuff you can find at Baf's IF Archive.

Obviously running these types of things are well withing the power of the GP2X hardware, from a system specs point - my question is more 'can it run the IF interpreters'.
