Music/video Freezing

Sorry if this has been covered, did a search to no avail (apart from suggestions of changing batteries)

My GP2X was playing music and video fine at 1.1.0 (hence knowing a change of batteries won't help), and today I upgraded to 2.0.0, and the same video and music now freezes the GP2X after a few seconds, meaning I need to reboot.

Is there a fix for that?

My GP2X with firmware 2.0 also freezing while playing music sometimes. It keeps alive - I can press "Y" button and see menu, but I can not start song again or exit the music player.

Oh, and I suddenly got music playing slightly faster and higher! It sounds like 44 KHz data was played on 48 KHz speed. I turned GP2X off and on again, then music speed became normal.
Strange bug.

And, of course, there is a bug in video player on movies with 48 KHz sound track.

I have the same problem during video playback with FW2.0.

Random pauses which seem to 'freeze' the video player - you can open and close the menu but can't pause, unpause, ffwd or rewind the video. Can't return to the menu, only solution is to reboot and try again.

I've just reencoded a movie to about a third of the size to see if it makes a difference, but I'm not too hopeful.

Yep, Same here in v2.0.0 firmware. Did the re-encode work? I must admit I only notice the problem on large AVI's (Anything over about 300mb) Also I have noticed it on both Xvid ad DivX encoded files.

Also some OGG/Vorbis files that play fine on the PC (Suse 10.1) that encoded them refuse to play on the gp2x. Wierd!

Other than the slight issues with video playback, the v2.0.0 is a definate improvement over v1.x :) Let'#s hope these minor bugs get squashed quickly. :D
