My computer runs at a 500 terahertz clockspeed, is powered by coldfusion, and has a 100 tb hard drive the size of a penny. Not to mention a full fledged coffee maker...a coffee maker that makes not just coffee, but toffee and european chocolate. Orgasmic toffee and european chocolate.
 
this is not a cpu, it is a signal processor. dont compare it to desktop 4GHz CPUs, compare it to common existing 100GHz DSPs.

hehe i wish my phone ran at 2GHz
Cellphones and Wireless devices mostly run at the 2.X Ghz. This is not CPU clockspeed they were talking about.
Oh. The freqency of the waves? 2.4hgz on a 802.11g wifi router then.

Also, my computer is quantum. It can do calculations in seconds that would take the fastest conventional computers billions of years. It can also work out pi exactly and count to infinity.

I thought that the freqency of the electricity depends on the power that goes in? How does having more waves per second make it faster?

It does. Every cellphone uses freguencys of about 2GHz. Also wireless mouses and keyboards.

This has nothing to do with cpu clockspeeds, and i wonder why they compare it to the 5 THz of this new CPU... seems like they don´t really know what they´re speaking about :D

The infinity and pi bits were lies, but the fact that quantum computers can do in minutes what takes conventional computers billions. I know, I watched an IEEE seminar on it.

I know. Encryption would be easy to crack. But then using quantum computers even greater encryption would be created.
