I've downloaded and split the european FW and made it into a .fxe file, and I'll let other people download it, but I want to know if it is legal enough to put on GP32x first... Is it?

I don't actually know where it came from, but look in the topic about the europe launch being cancled, there are links to it.

who is using it then ?

i've tested it on geepee32, looks nice - faded in gp32 logo, different front end but still you need to go to click game, then the free launcher.. then your program... but it looks nice, nicer background than the yellow/orange gunk and i prefer the selector

still too chicken shit to flash my memory as i did not notice an mp3 option when i ran on geepee32 ????

p.s i guess the firmware isn't legal as it has not been given away and we have not been told we can use it - maybe mitsui can confirm !? maybe mitsui had some other toys planned which they might not mind getting out ?????

can some one tell me where i can find a flashing guide

and if i can back up my original FW before i flash

In the euro topic you can download the original flasher, too and that should just be run and it's done. But there is a guide here faq.gp32emu.com

you mean you have flashed generally or you have flashed the new firmware?
I've flashed the new firmware. I prefer the old actually :) Other than a few extra bits of eye-candy and translated text, it is nothing better. AND there is no MP3 player!! Cheek!!

I have flashed mine also, Programs and Games seem to load much faster, Ie pinball dreams , loads super quick. also built in free loader, just select play from main menu, and it brings up all programs on smc,. me likey :)

I'd just like to see one that went straight to a 'free loader' style interface. Could include the mp3 and pclink as parts of that loader.
