I cant overclock my Hardware. Every Application that tries to overclock the cpu is Freezing emidiately or doesnt start.
Any Help?

if your happy with soldering then you can increase your cpus core voltage, much like overclocking a pc, i did this mod and it works great, info can be found here

Your GP32 may simply be unable to run at that speed, unfortunately. How are your batteries though? Are you using rechargeables (possible 1.2v each rather than the 1.5v of alkaline batteries....)?

Im using 1.5v Batteries. @zenocha: Is the soldering Method working for all GP32 and is it comtibel downwards?

It should work for most gp32's but depending on what you were able to clock to before will probably affect how high you can clock afterwards, before my gp could clock up to 156 now it will go to at least 166 (havent tried it any higher) it also depends on how much you increase the voltage by the core is about 1.8V standerd, i increased mine to 1.92V. 1.95V is the max i think that is recommended for the cpu so i would try and stay below that figure, i emailed the guy(rob brown) who originally did the mod and he gave me some formulae to calculate the core voltage:

Vcpu = Vfb * (R48 + R52) / R52

Vfb is fixed at 1.25V so just sub that in.

You can change either or both resistor to get the voltage you want, for example in mine i changed R48 from 220k to around 250k which gave me 1.92V when measured with multimeter. But rob brown changed both resistors to give him a slightly higher voltage. So basically you can use any ratio of resistors you want as long as it gives the desired voltage.

I should warn you that if you do this incorrectly you could kill your GP32, so i wouldnt recommend it unless you are confident with soldering and so on.

Finally i dont know what you mean by "is it comtibel downwards?" Could you please clarify this and ill answer what it is you are asking.

Hope that helps :D

I think he means "Is it compatable downwards". i.e. can lower voltage batteries be used (1.2v)

::EDIT::spelling

I think 1.2V batteries can be used (rechargebles i would presume). But due to the lower voltage a higher current will be drawn meaning they wont last as long as you might think, this is true even without the mod. If you give me a while ill put some figures up to give you an idea of battery life but right now i need to go get my dinner.

Basically, yes 1.2V batteries will work

Im using 1500 mAh 1.2v rechargeable batteries. I can't overclock either. Could a change off batteries improve my GP32's ablilities to overclock?

EDIT : When I say I can't overclock, I mean the screen splits into four when I play anything over 133 mhz

The screen splitting up on emulators doesn't mean you can't overclock. It just does that sometimes! go into the options and then back to your game and it should come back right :) Someone please correct me if i'm wrong about this!
