Hello Guys!

That's my first post here. I've got a GP32 at 24th December and it is VERY COOL!

For all who like to watch her movies on this nice little peace of hardware a little Tip. If you don't use the max. resolution of 320x240 pix you have a good chance to get very fast and nice looking videos with CPU Speed of 133 Mhz!

I tried a 25 min Anime (Captain Future) with a resolution of 256x192 pix. DivX Codec 4.12, 90 kbit/sec, 22050/11025 Stereo MP3. The file was only 31MB big and looks very smooth!

I think with some testing you can get the best of your movies! :D

You mean GPcinema will actually ACCEPT horizontal resolutions of LESS than 320!!!!!

veeeery interesting. Ill have to try this out.

nice tip! but I have found that different anime series tend to compress very differently. I encoded x tv series (25min eps) and they average at 25Mb, banner of the stars (25 min) average at 20mb and Naruto (25 again) were 30Mb+

incidentally I used the same settings for each. I'll be checking out your res tip, ta!

Nice tip, but I got to watch my family guy in full screen for the full effect :p
Lol, funny u said that, just just encoded 2 family guys episodes in 256*192. much smaller file size but still excellent quality. with high quality mono sound 10fps this is like 16 megs a file :)

Good tip for file size but the borders are too big for me. Try 300x220 its almost as good as full screen but saves some file size
