Sorry for being ignorant, but can't this be easily done by anybody with sufficient knowledge of the X68000 chip? I believe the Atari ST used it (Though I could be wrong), and the Sharp computer only ran at something along the lines of 14 - 17mhz. This machine was absolutely amazing, featuring proper arcade perfect ports of many games.

Would this be possible at all? And if so, good luck to the person that decides to pursue this idea. :)

It housed one of the rarest Castlevania games, next to Rondo of Blood, being Akumajou Dracula X68000. It was later released as Castlevania Chronicles on the PSX, I believe.

If you like, I could send you the emulator. (PC / Windows of course)

The x68000 was one of the most powerful systems for its time...the base specs had a 10 MHz 68000-series CPU, a full megabyte of RAM, another MB of VRAM, 2 sound processors, and all the other what-have-you...the top model had a 20MHz CPU and 12MB RAM if I remember correctly.

So basically, it exceeds the ST and Amiga in performance, meaning that getting it emulated would be a chore. Getting a 68000 emulator in assembly would be a good start, though. If this thing ever gets emulated, we'll probably also get an Amiga emulator in the process.
