hi,

i have a second question today....

i have some atari st ganes, they are .st files but no real disk-images i think, because they are between 70 to 300 K of size. how can i put them into an image castaway is able to read?
i think i need an emulator, which can read these files and copy them into an existing, empty one.
but which emu can do this?

yes, worked. thx.

ps: i extracted an ol public doman game called 'bouncing bubbles'. it was a game designed for b/w monitors and it wont run on castaway (grfx are crappy, you can see some details, but its really messed up.)

can i possibly do something, to get this working? like setting the screen to b/w simulation maybe?

I have some ST stuff which are the files which would usually have gone on the disks that the .ST and .MSA imitate.

These usually have a .TOS or .PRG file to launch, can I make a .ST or .MSA disk image from these files so I can run them on CaSTaway?

you can try using an emulator for the PC like Steem to copy the files to a virtual hard drive and then onto floppy (MSA or ST?) disk images...

I have tried this before but the games didn't work - you may have better luck

I never bothered with high res emulation I don't think./. I figured it woudl be too brutal; ie: ST low res is 320x200 and used for msot games.. so look sgreta on gp32; but for ST med res, its 640x200, so I have to through out a lot of pixels.. which is why medium res is funny looking, but workable; ST high res is 640x400.. so not only woudl we be tossing out every other horizontal pixel, I'd be tossing out every other vertical one too.. essentially, scaling the image to 25% its normal size. I figured things would be essentially unplayable at this point, so didn't bother..
