Atari ST alpha 002

Ohh Jeff Minter , a truely strange Brit :)

Glad to see you here

Oh and Skeezix GREAT work, keep the momentum going alot of peeps really want this :D

in preparation for when this emulation can play games, can some one tell me how to transfer the contents of an original atari st floppy over to the pc , as ive still kept 2 games from when i had an ST(couldnt bear to part with em :D ) there Bloodwych and Bloodwych Data discs ive seen an image of bloodwych somewhere so that not as important but the data disc was more fun to play but i cant find it. also has anyone heard of the sequel? ive been there was a number 2 but i havent as yet found it . Thanks in advance.

I never played the Atari ST.

Yeah.

That's right.

But I guess everything that I do with your emulator will be new and exciting!

.....but right now I have NO idea what any of these games you wierdos are talking about are. :D

Still got my ST (not to mention two Amiga A1200, 2 C64, 1 Vic20, 1 Zx81, 1 Spectrum 48K, 1 Z88, 1 QL). Guess I really am a retro freak!

Seeing as the mighty Jeff Minter is populating these boards perhaps we could convince him to write Tempest 2000 for the GP32??

How 'bout it, Jeff? :D

Go looking for MAKEDISK -- almost certainly you can find it from a reference in www.atari.st or www.atari.org somewhere. MAKEDISK lets you write an .ST image file to a floppy for use with an ST, or read a ST floppy into .st image for use with an emu. Very keen.

do you need to use MAKEDISC on a real ST as i no longer have mine? is there a way using a pc
MAKEDISC is a PC DOS application that will read *most* ST discs using your PC 3.5" floppy drive. I'd advise looking for disc images on the net as they are more likely to work and you don't have to pull your hair out. i'd also recommend the STEem emulator for your PC, to try games before you start downloading to GP32.

For a whole host of Atari stuff, including almost every compact disc, there's Joe's great FTP server.

There wasn't that much difference to be honest as I played it quite a bit on both machines.

I didn't try it on an a500 but on an a1200 it did run faster.

Adios,
Matt
