No commercial games yet, but it is able to run some homebrew demos at upto 5x GBA speed (5 times faster than GBA!!!)

duuuude!

Sorri, i got a bit caught up with the praise ppl were givin it!

I haven't even tried it and already I have a stupid grin on my face.

So it's finally happened... The long slated GBA emulation on GP32... The emulation they said would never happen.

Sure, it's early days... But if this emulator continues,

This guy is gonna be a fucking legend.

the fxe is running at 132MHz (0029DE07 11A00300) ofset 0x0E50 (3664)
I made a 144MHz version so it makes the 3dploter faster
before it was about 10s now it less than 8s....
it is useless but great :)

see you

LMFAO!!!

Nintendo can't patent something like that, They'd have to buy the code for every GBA, GBC, and GB emulator out there, and patent those.......Then people could just code more, or stick to their guns and not sell :D

Edit: Heh, Nintendo can try to sue people for everything can't they? I look forward to the company dying a quick and painful death soon :D GO GP32/PSP! GO PS3!

As long as the emulator is independant of the games it runs *basically most emulators* then they cannot do shiz, as that thread says. Plus with so many scratch emulators out there their patent cannot hold up well, but hell... they are counting on coders being idiots, and scared and back out from development. Hel if i knew howto code good enough and make a GBA emulator, then N contacted me, i'd still develop and either offer it for d/l as freeware with a donate button :D, or give it to people personally and then pass it on, and have a page about it. saying the version number if it is complete, and a donate button

You enter a gray area of legality when selling emulators. Its never a good idea to do. Even if they have no legal standing, they will take you to court so many times that you will go bankrupt from legal costs (see Bleem! v.s. Sony for an example of this).

But even if they stop this emulator, like they stopped UltraHLE, there will always be another one.

The GP32 scene shouldnt be effected because they are not making money off of this.

someone contact this guy about the gbax coding comp!
do it now!
ahh
if he knew there was money, maybe he spend a little more time a day coding and making it better....

Not really.

It's illegal because of the trademarks within the games. It's basically saying that Nintendo software shouldn't be played on anything other than Ninty hardware.

It's hard to explain, but in all actuality - all emulators *should* be deemed illegal because of the copyrights and trademarks therein.

Speaking of the recent GBA emu, on the beta (alpha?), How does the rom converter work, and what demos/ PD roms work on it?
