I hear you guys talkin about button mappin wots that bout is it where u select the command of a button and how does this help if you need 4 buttons and you only have 2.

You have four, an A and B, and two top toggles. When you hit select I think it is, the buttons change mappings from having the ABXY on snes to having something like AB LShoulder RShoulder. I forget the exact mappings, but when I played a 6 button game, I use A to do something, then hit select and use A as another function. Also you can define your own mapping, so you can use whatever combos you want.

Don't play fighting games on snes, just get KOF91 for gamepark, its much more impressive, free, and has like 200 Characters you can download.

Some games are a bit screwy making it hard to get a good button setting, Ithink it took me an hour to figure out how to set up for Cybernator, but only a couple of minutes for Operation: logic bomb. Super metroid is pretty easy but you might have to sacrifice the ability to fire diagnaly.

Zelda was easy, cos it was out on gba

Hi !
The Opensnes9x emulator runs slow and has not full screen window !!! So i can't enjoy it .

1, fullscreen will depleate the quality of games, do not bitch, but there will prolly be a fullscreen options for dumbasses like you

It runs fast, go try PocketSNES/SNESadvanced *same thing* and tell me it runs slow, maybe your using high sound *in-OSNES9x settings* and 0 frameskip, i play Super Mario World about fullspeed...

geeze idiot

THe buttons have setup, either 5 at one time or 6, most snes games do not use most of the buttons, and if all used some are pointless... like L and R, but that means some games are hard to play on it

...which you don't seem to update with the mappings I sent you... ;)

Ah, my very first question, asked again. And to answer it: It is much more comfortable than you might think. Example: Secret of Mana. Uses all Buttons. So... L and R, used to strafe. Whoever used it? Nobody. A to run, I used that feature often cos walking is too slow :D B for attacking, very important, we need that. Y for the Ring Menu, X for partners' Ring menu. We need at least Y. Select to choose a character, w need that too. We do not start as we do not want to switch off player 1 :D So, we need 4 butons to play this game smoothly, and we have five. We can even assign one of the lesser functions!

This elimination method works with nearly any game. Most don't need L and R anyway, so we are clear. Other that do need them have some other functions that are redundant. And If that does not apply, there is always Select to change the mapping. You'll see, if you set up a game properly, there will be no problems at all.

A little harsh?

Fair enough, I think rack may have had unreasonable expectations about the emu (Although I think it's great as it is), but there's no need to be rude. I like this community because the vast majority are friendly and helpful - it was one of the factors persuading me to get a gp32 when I knew I'd probably need some help occasionally. Lets try to keep it that way, and increase our chances of getting new gamers and potential developers involved.

I take it back... I've read his past posts and yes, he was a pillock.

Sorry ThndrShk2k, I was only really being preachy 'cos it's marginally more fun than writing my essay. Speaking of which, I'm off.

Have fun,

If you hold L, R and B at the same time, you can walk sideways and backwards without looking this way. Doesn`t really have any practical uses though.... none I found however.
