Hi,

Just wondering is there actually a stand for the GP32, so you can have it at the right angle on your desk so dont have to hold it for an hour and a half if your watching a film for example.

If there isnt an offical product how many people here would be interested in one ?

let me know as ive got a roughly made stand that works very well ( if i do say so myself :D ) which may be useful for other fellow users.

out of curiosity how much do you think a stand would go for (money wise) cos if the demands there i may start production...what do you reckon?

Thanks in Advance

I thought GP32 was a handheld...

Maybe that's me and my crazy ideas. But I have a good laugh every time I see a mod like the external controllers or a stand.

I'd suggest stealing some little kids soccer shoe, the back where your heel goes is always bumped just perfect for a stand, I use my brothers old soccer shoe to hold my gp32 while I put on my coat :) Talk about portable, when don't you have a shoe with you?

My drunk friend also managed to prop it on top of an open 24 pack of beer so we could watch Fear and Loathing, so use whatever's around :)

hehe Both my Stands :D

The GP32 Stand is mainly used for when your GP32 Connected and Sitting next to your PC, For when your listening to MP3's, When your watching films, when your using the GP32 Keyboard (So you can look at the screen and use the keyboard at same time :D without having to hold the GP32 and KB at same time...), for watching JPG Slide Shows or for just putting it onto the stand when your not using it... B)

Im going to make a Lexan stand soon...

That Big Stand that I have Is Excellent for watching Southpark / Simpsons / Anything while in the Bath B) I tried it out yesterday and it kicked ass... watched the Spontanius Combustion South Park :D hehe

i'm in the process in finishing my stand off when its done i'll post a picture. Two main advantages to mine so far is that its super portable (only couple of mm's thick and few cm's in length), so unlike the 5ft or so sized stand you can take it with you :D and theres also a bit im making that allows it to be in the stand while also using the headphones.

If anyone cares i'll keep you posted.

Also, I heard that you can take the back battery cover off and turn it around and prop up your GP32. It is totally portable (2 inches wide) and I tested it. It really works, I would deffenitely recommend it to anyone! :D

mashmods should make a stand to go with their snes/nes/ps2/megadrive controller mod

You know yesterday afer reading this thread I got halfway through creating a stand out of paper and then realized I'd never taken an enginering class and the hours I was spending designing it would leave me with a headache... that and I never use it for anything that I cant just hold it or put it in my pocket.

Buy an official GP32 padded bag from GBAX and lean it against that. After all you're always gonna have the bag with you. The pictures don't do them justice either. They are very impressive (well as impressive as a small bag can be which is to say slightly more impresive than a hot cup of tea when you've just come in from the cold.)

Japanese Cuisine

Once known in the west either in the form of "sukiyaki" or the more exotic "sushi," Japanese cuisine has in recent years become much more familiar and appreciated around the world. Many visitors to Japan will have already sampled the pleasures of raw fish or batter-fried shrimp. But few first-time visitors to Japan are prepared for the variety and sumptuousness of Japanese food, as it is traditionally prepared. Eating in Japan is an experience to be enjoyed and remembered fondly for the rest of your life.

Among the types of cooking found in Japan are :

Sukiyaki is prepared right at the table by cooking thinly sliced beef together with various vegetables, tofu and vermicelli.
Tempura is food deep-fried in vegetable oil, after being coated with a mixture of egg, water and wheat flour. Among the ingredients used are prawns, fish in season and vegetables.
Sushi is a small piece of raw seafood placed on a ball of vinegared rice. The most common ingredients are tuna, squid and prawn. Cucumber, pickled radish and sweet egg omelet are also served.
Sashimi is sliced raw fish eaten with soy sauce.
Kaiseki Ryori is regarded as the most exquisite culinary refinement in Japan. The dishes are mainly composed of vegetables and fish with seaweed and mushrooms as the seasoning base and are characterized by their refined savor.
Yakitori is made up of small pieces of chicken meat, liver and vegetables skewered on a bamboo stick and grilled over hot coals.
Tonkatsu is a deep-fried pork cutlet rolled in breadcrumbs.
Shabu-shabu is tender, thin slices of beef held by chopsticks and swished in a pot of boiling water, then dipped in a sauce before being eaten.
Soba and Udon are two kinds of Japanese noodle. Soba is made from buckwheat flour and Udon from wheat flour. They are served either in a broth or dipped in a sauce, and are available in hundreds of delicious variations..
