Am I the only one unable to play this port?
Seem that I can't use the L and R menus, so the whole gameplay is messed up!

Suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!

This is unfinished, and not-too-playable. The author abandoned it a long time ago but did leave the source in case anyone wanted to pick it up (see http://membres.lycos.fr/kris4leloo/news.html).

It is a shame this was never finished as the GBA version of Elite - A New Kind is excellent and is now my favourate version of Elite.

The most playable version of Elite on the GP32 is the NES one. You can play the NTSC hacked version on Little John, and it is a public domain ROM so you can download it from Ian Bells website.

I'd love to see the GBA version ported (if the source is out there - which it ought to be, considering the author didn't develop the game in the first place). I had a mate who let me play it on his GBA and I was amazed that a game with so many controls was actually playable on a system with so few buttons.

I was also surprised when my nooby Cobra Mk3 was jumped on by two Thargoid Cruisers (this happened once on PC). Fortunately I was so leet :D that they couldn't down me, but then again, my lasers were so crap I couldn't down them (when they jumped me on PC they weren't so lucky)! I called it a draw and passed it back! :D

Hmm... might be, might not be. I know when I looked for the original SDL source of TNK it wasn't on sourceforge - original author had asked that it be removed, which is annoying, although there's lots of other clones out there.

One of the reasons I suggest JJFFE...

On the other hand, the GBA version of TNK might have gone under the radar, just as this version did - its not exactly high profile...

you're right, but I don't know how to put the free program from bell's site on a ST disk image... well, I tried to copy it from an emulated atari ST hd to a floppy image [with moron] and it works on moron, but fails on caSTaway!

it shouldn't be so hard to play such a great game =|
