I know that they make wireless compact flash cards, well I was wondering if they made wireless SMCs as well. Also, it would be interesting to find out whether wireless SMCs (if they are produced) would be compatible with a GP32.

i don't think they do make them...it would rock, but you would need a program to work with it...maybe they have xd wireless  with an adapter and the right program... :D

no, no, no...there are compactflash 802.11 b (or a or g) cards, so you can log onto a network and get internet access...or stream mp3s, divx, roms...sounds like a kewl idea...but it wouldn't be easy...there MAY be a way to do wireless serial communications through the serial port...but that would be pretty slooooow...and it wouldnt be able to be 802.11...it would be kewl tho... :D all those roms from your harddrive streamed into the ram to be played... B)

what? i dont understand, so you keep the card in your pocket or something whilst using your gp?

Haha. just keep couple of em in yur pockets and switch through em i guess

Found a Xd to SMC card at a camera website. Looks like it could work on the gp32. :D

Edit: It also says that the max size is 128 MB, but I wonder if that is just for cameras that can't read smartmedia greater that 128 MB?

nope, someone tried already...they don't work over 128mb...soooo, no 512mb..haha :D that would be awsome tho....

Already been tried tested and failed. Even if it could, the base SDK for the GP32 is only built to handle 128Mb or less SMCs.

Please lets not have ANOTHER thread about this!
