Not really. It was a PM.
But now that the Christmas/New year period is over, my message above was enough to awake the Dragon.
I got a PM a little later and I just ordered the 1 Ghz with the vouchers.
Now starts the *other* wait... for the package to arrive...
And somewhere, someone just got...
The only problem is that ED doesn't read his PM that often apparently. The one I sent with all the details for a cross-upgrade on Dec 30 is still unread...
But how do we get it ?
I have expressed my interest twice (2 replies to that upgrade email from Craig) but I have never gotten a reply.
Ed,
is there a way to get it directly from you (by providing order number for instance).
Which is why Craig's advertised upgrade price (350$) in November email is more fair, even if that still makes the console more expensive than the current price (330+350->680 , versus $602 + shipping... (shipping already paid in advance in 2009 for 19$ by the way, and with a TV cable...).
Done twice already, first as a reply to the email with the offer, second time as a reminder and with my order number.
From what I understood, all I need is some voucher or ticket number that I can use on ED's site to prove I had an original order.
Besides all what's been said here on how the situation could still be worked out, the worst thing is that there are probably other people like me, who are even ready to drop another 350$ just to get that upgrade a finally be done with it.
I believe we should be the easiest one to take care and...
Agreeing with what a lot of people have said.
"The convenient communist slave nation." I can see where this could offend some people (even people who left China because of its regime). Even though it's not aimed at them, some people don't like to hear about their country talked about this...
How about these...
1. 1st Opening
2. 1st Take-off
3. Initial Release
4. Birth edition
5. Now Open (or Now Opened) (and let some people wonder if it says "now closed" when the lid is down...)
6. Initial Launch
7. In Orbit
8. Crack of Dawn Edition (& yes , reference to an Amiga demo music)
9...
Pandora : retro gaming and portable computing for the new era
Pandora : Two thumb[stick]s up !
Pandoraahhhhhh lovely !
Pandora : mini box ~ maxi power
Pandora : open your mind
Pandora : unleash your power
Pandora : Your gaming encyclopedia
I would start maybe with a browser web, just to pick up the interest of a large number of people, not only gamers. Then I would switch to games, starting with the oldest systems to the newest (not that you need all the systems of course (but Amiga is a must)).
Something like starting with a...
If you are really interested, take a chance ! There might still be some opening after people cancel their order.
Send an email to openpandorasales@gmail.com and say you would like to order a pandora.
If you're interested in an accessory, mention it as well as they will quote you the total...
Thinking in terms of portability, I can see where I bring my pandora to some places where a TV is not available but a computer screen is. So a cable with VGA(and/or DVI output) would be nice (versus a bigger dock).
As wifi is not always available (or too slow/unreliable) an ethernet port would...
