Ah, I know what was wrong. There is a small bump in the casing of my pandoa. Until know it had no noticeable impact, but it seems like it was pushing against the screen. After lifting this bump a little bit with mit fingernails, the touchscreen startet to work again.
Could be caused by not...
After updating my Pandora to the final SuperZaxxon release, the touchscreen does not seem to work anymore. I'm not sure if it is an software issue, since i haven't been using my little black box for a while (and the last time I did, it's quite likely that I didn't use the touchscreen)
Any...
This looks a lot like the issues I had: unfortunately it was a hardware-issue (although it didnt look like one at the first glance) and I had to RMA it.
You could try to connect to a public WiFi hotspot or a friend's router, just to be sure, that there is nothing wrong with your router.
*bump*
I gathered additional intel:
sudo ifup wlan0 results in 'Failed to bring up wlan0', but turns the WiFi-LED on.
wpa_cli is stuck at 'Could not connect to wpa_supplicant - re-trying', even after turning wifi on.
Any ideas?
I've just tried several hotspots in my town, but no luck :-(.
Edit: I tried some command line magic again (by following this guide: http://pandorawiki.org/Wireless_from_the_Terminal), but apparently there is no /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf on my pandora.
Could this be related to my problem?
I din't actually know what I was doing; just trying out different iwconfig options planlessly (setting the sid manually, making sure that mode is managed and so on.
Too bad, neither another re-flash nor fiddling around with the command line did help. (The routers aren't set to 802.11n only, btw)
I guess, I'll have to send my Pandora back to ED. :-(
Neither of the two router I tried has MAC-filtering enabled. I already installed the beta-driver, but it didn't help, so I reflashed my Pandora to restore it to its original state.

Networks are appearing in the manager and tried several channels.
When Network Security is turned of (no WPA or WEP) it just keeps trying to connect for some time before it disconnects, with WPA enabled it keeps asking for the pass. (I triple-checked, that I entered it correctly ;-) )

Hi,
I finally received my Pandora today =), but I can't connect to any Wi-Fi Networks. I tried several (well, 2, actually) routers and deactivated WPA, but nothing helped.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
edit: Firmware version is Hotfix 5 btw
