The original article uses a adjustable-voltage linear regulator. That sets off my BS detectors -- he should use a 3.3V switcher. Using a linear regulator just wastes power, and USB doesn't provide enough current as it is.

Well that's kind of annoying. Yes, I have a relatively new PowerBook G4 with USB 2.x ports. My brand new device needs an old USB port to talk to?! Any word on a fix?

Has anyone been able to mount the GP2X via the USB cable on MacOS X?
I have a 1GB SD card that works fine in my card reader, but not via USB on GP2X. My Mac doesn't seem to pay any attention, like the GP2X is not even there.
