Here, the most common reason people are going near each other is to buy food. The shops are doing their best to space people out, but it still seems rather dodgy. A lot of these people would be happy to order delivery if it was easily available. We don't need a tougher lockdown, we need enough...
If you ban going outside to exercise, but allow people to go to the shops to buy food, then people will go to the shops when they don't need food. I think it's much better to allow people to go outside, with some measures to keep them spread out.
I don't mind people slurping, but chewing with mouth open disgusts me.
Generally, I'll find something a lot more irritating if I believe people shouldn't do it, which is a thing I have some control over. If you want to stop being irritated by something, it could be worth considering.
I apologise for making a "don't panic" post earlier. Not just because I'm now worried too, but more because of reading things like these:
Don't panic too much yet. The things that are most likely to kill you don't get so much time in the news.
(Respiratory infections are quite high up, but that includes things like the common flu.)
My CC Pandora would boot the OS from NAND, but would hang when it tried to show the R-shoulder boot menu or boot an SD card having autoboot.txt. I suspected a slight corruption in u-boot.
The suggested way of booting the recovery card didn't work even after an orderly shutdown. Eventually, I...
OK, thanks for clarifying that!
I tried a bunch of times and that definitely didn't work for me, and then taking the battery out did work. (PANDORA + Power Switch does normally restart the unit, so no hardware problems there.)
And it just occurred to me that maybe I had some kind of power...
@EvilDragon Thanks for your work so far!
The above doesn't work on my CC unit. (As I noted earlier, it will appear to work if there's a good bootloader on the NAND.) The following, however, did work:
a) Remove the battery.
b) Put the recovery card into the left SD Card slot.
c) Press and hold...
Thanks! I wonder what exactly Start is doing on mine then. I'd appreciate if someone with a CC Pandora could check those things too, just in case it's different. (Though come to think of it, both of those things are probably software, so could have been updated at some point.) Never mind, I got...
The hardware boot ROM normally loads MLO/X-Loader from the NAND, which then loads u-boot from the NAND. U-boot can then boot the main OS from the NAND, or SD cards having "boot.txt" or "autoboot.txt".
ED's new rescue card image includes files "MLO" and "u-boot.bin", as well as "autoboot.txt"...
