(In order of importance)
Save state- I think it really is necessary to make the games playable
Speed Improvements-Pretty darn important
Switching in game-It really doesnt matter as long as we can quit and restart easily. Thats what u basically have to do on real playstations right?
Z/ZNX...
Yes it is waaay faster than before :)
One thing I noticed though; some of the preview pictures on the download page are not displaying any more (It says url not there any more) . Is it coming up bit by bit or is this a problem?
Hey, could anyone tell me where to get the latest version of the emu from (alpha3c i think)
I just got my new memory card after my old one broke and I cant wait to get testing. :)
Man, he was just voicing an opinion, no need to all go crazy at him! This isthe kind of thing that scares new people away from these boards.
Although im pretty happy with the emulation scene, I can see where he is coming from; sometimes the emulators do progress quite slowly.
Woah, didnt expect this much response... thx guys!
Well ive got myself some C and C++ books, and borrowed a game design book of a friend. I should have alot of time to learn these as I am on holidays from uni.
So expect big things in the next few months on the gp2x scene! (lol more like years :P)
Hey ppl,
I'm interested in learning how to code, so I can start coding for the gp2x. Anyone got any tips or links to sites that teach how to code. I really am a beginner as I know no languages at the moment (apart from html :P ) and I havent found any kind of comprehensive guide on coding for...
Nice work guys!! As long as you are giving these updates, I dont think anyone minds waiting that long, it is worth it! Btw Zod, i see you like your smilies (6 in one post) :D
I use crdwin found at http://www.goldenhawk.com/ Although its a trial version, the only problem is that burning to cd is limited to 1x speed which doesnt affect us at all :)
Then use pocketiso to compress it.
I guess adding an extra blob of solder would never hurt (unless u solder 2 connections together :P) It sounds like if connections arent being made cleanly if u have to push in the headphone jack, so that would be your bet bet.
If that doesnt work all u can do is send it back.
The same sort of thing happened to me, luckily its really easy to fix. You just unscrew the gp2x, and solder the headphone socket back on to the matching terminals which are below the hole for the headphones, simple as that.
If youre still worried about doing it a detailed guide is here...
