pcsx-rearmed - Me getting a clue about debugging libre PlayStation emulators (question for notaz)

While its not really relevant for here, as I didn't get an answer I ditched pcsx-rearmed after a bit of fiddling about and discovering mednafen - I'm using this stuff on a normal x86_64 machine, and its by far the most correct emulator I've found, so 'fixed' the bugs I was experiencing with...

pcsx-rearmed - Me getting a clue about debugging libre PlayStation emulators (question for notaz)

Hopefully a question notaz can answer, since I see hes active here! I am a libre software programmer with some C and C++ experience, no embedded development or assembly experience, and don't like the idea that proprietary emulators and plugins are required to get working x86 PlayStation...

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

I cross-compiled them a few years ago for the rebirth Pandora, then successfully used them for about a year in the GHz model - xfce4-cpugraph, xfce4-genmon-plugin, xfce4-netload, and xfce4-systemload (versions based on the last ones that should work with the old XFCE4 DE). Theres a definite...

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

Luckily thats my second Pandora, a 1GHz one - its sat there now while I use the original day to day. Too much time wasted on the 1GHz one with the initial brick, then testing and finding Pandian isn't really maintained enough, then reflashing and this... leaving it alone for a while unless there...

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

I flashed SuperZaxxon170RC... The nmapplet problem didn't happen immediately (and I didn't fiddle with themeing etc - just installed some XFCE4 plugins to the root filesystem, which doesn't include nmapplet).

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

The upgrade I'm referring to was a firmware flash - my original attempt to upgrade bricked the install completely.

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

    I didn't see your edit - I do have '/usr/share/icons/hicolor/22x22/apps/nm-device-wwan.png', first I did 'sudo gtk-update-icon-cache', then 'sudo gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders --update-cache', then 'sudo gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders --update-cache /usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache' - nothing...

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

OK - this is a critical bug for me, as without NetworkManager I can't bring up the wifi or USB-dongle ethernet based network interfaces - i.e. I'm without the net on a device which is mainly used as a browser atm.

After registering on bugtracker, interface changes to Cryllic

Think before posting... I'm not going to bother with it if its in a foreign language...

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

A few days ago I upgraded to this firmware, and now I find nm-applet refusing to start up due to missing icons: WARNING **: Icon nm-device-wwan missing: Icon 'nm-device-wwan' not present in theme This is associated with a dialog saying that as it can't find some resources, it cannot continue...

After registering on bugtracker, interface changes to Cryllic

After registering and logging into the bugtracker, the interface changes from English into a cryllic language - there doesn't seem to be anywhere to change it back?

    pandian - MARK2

Thanks for responding - I'll look out for that at some point in the future... back to the default firmware.

    pandian - MARK2

stackshadow: Any plans on updating the Mark 2 image? I've installed and attempted to aptitude upgrade (not even full-upgrade), and the Pandora spent a few hours trying to solve dependency hell, only for me to kill it off (I'm not going to OK removal of key packages - this is a secondary machine...

dedicated USB OTG mouses (check for interest..)

One of the tested devices was a Yubikey, which is a tiny little device that essentially emulates a keyboard - so I'd like to think it takes very little power. On the USB-A port it lights up but then goes out a bit later, on the mini port it doesn't light at all. So far I have tested two mini-A...

dedicated USB OTG mouses (check for interest..)

Right, I've got at the Hama cable and I have succeeded in getting something to work through the OTG port... however in general this is a failure. The Hama cable again has black plastic on the mini-A connector end, which should signify mini-B.. but clearly it doesn't any more. Plugging anything...
